While construction continues at Centech Park North in Shrewsbury, SGPS ShowRig, a Las Vegas-based entertainment services company, has signed a lease for 49,524 square feet, the first at the development.
Colliers, a Toronto-based real estate giant with an office in Boston, represented the landlord, Northbridge Partners of Wakefield. Washington D.C.-based Cresa represented the tenant.
Construction is moving quickly at the site and delivery is slated for the fall, according to a Monday press release from Colliers.
SGPS ShowRig traces its roots back to 1974 in London, UK where it was founded as Showlites, a theatrical lighting company. Now it provides a variety of services including automation, fabrication, staging, and rigging for live events, film, and television. It currently has seven locations across the U.S. including one in Framingham.
Northbridge Partners and Colliers have also partnered on a 396,375-square-foot industrial building at 80 Pine Hill Drive in Boylston.
“We have been really pleased with interest in Northbridge’s campuses in Shrewsbury and Boylston. Market activity continues to be strong in MetroWest, with several tenants interested in the remaining vacancy of Centech Park North and its sister property at 80 Pine Hill Drive," said Kevin Brawley, senior vice president at Colliers in the press release.
