A Natick firm has paid $2.3 million for an office building in town once owned by the defunct International Museum of World War II next door.
The museum, which closed in 2019, still owns its former home at 8 Mercer Road but sold 6 Mercer Road, a roughly 14,000-square-foot office building just off Route 9, for $1.8 million in April to a limited liability corporation registered to Yusef Haj Darwish and Paul Vallera of Norwood.
Darwish and Vallera, two doctors, then turned around and sold 6 Mercer Road to a limited liability corporation registered to the head of Cross Services Group, a Natick home cleaning and maintenance firm.
That sale was announced Tuesday by New Dover Associates, a Framingham realty company representing Darwish and Vallera. Cross Services Group President and CEO Warren Cross Jr. bought 6 Mercer Road as an investment property, New Dover Associates said.
The site, at nearly an acre, was last assessed by the Town of Natick at $1.85 million.
CORRECTION: An incorrect figure was previously given for the square footage of the building at 6 Mercer Road.
