Financial Insights, a Framingham-based research and advisory firm, has hired Julio Gomez to be its vice president of capital markets and financial markets investor research.|
Gomez is the founder and CEO of Gomez Inc., an online trading and banking markets service.
Institutional Investor named Gomez one of the “50 Most Influential People,” as did Time Magazine, which named Gomez one of the “50 Most Influential People in Shaping Technology.”
Gomez was a capital markets executive for more than 11 years before founding Gomez Inc., and also held trading, sales and corporate finance positions at HSBC, Security Pacific and Bank of Boston.
Gomez also ran his own brokerage firm specializing in state and local bond issues.
Gomez will take over the capital markets and risk management research practices at Financial Insights, and will lead the creation of a new investment services line.
