Leominster-based Fidelity Bank said it loaned $46.9 million during the first quarter, a 27 percent increase over the same period a year ago.
Edward F. Manzi Jr., the bank’s president and CEO, said the bank’s “LifeDesign” lending program, which the bank says helps customers make better financial decisions, was responsible for the loan growth.
Fidelity has branches in Leominster, Fitchburg, Gardner, Millbury, Shirley and Worcester.
