Leominster-based Fidelity Bank donated more than $400,000 to more than 275 organizations, events, and causes in 2022 through its LifeDesign Community Dividend program.
The Shine Initiative in Worcester, American Heart Association, Groton Hill Music Center in Groton, Johnny Appleseed Festival in Leominster, NewVue Communities in Fitchburg, North Star Family Services in Leominster, Worcester Tercentennial Celebration, and the YWCA Central Massachusetts in Worcester were some of the beneficiaries of the funding, according to a Wednesday press release from the bank.
“Our Community Dividend provides the opportunity for us to care for our communities by improving the quality of life for all,” Fidelity CEO and Chairman Ed Manzi said in the press release. “We can support the communities who support us, while also providing funding to ensure organizations continue providing important services needed to help our communities thrive.”
The LifeDesign Community Dividend provides funding to support local nonprofit organizations directly impact and benefit the communities in the Fidelity Bank service areas. Eligible programs include those that support inclusion and diversity, culture and arts, senior citizens, and youth programming, among others.
Fidelity Bank ranks 12th among banks in Central Massachusetts deposits with $1.1 billion in local deposits as of June 30, and $1.4 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data analyzed by the WBJ Research Department.
