Verizon announced that 3 additional Bay State communities will now have access to FiOS TV, a fiber-optic service offering more channel choices and enhanced picture quality.
Previously available only in communities on the outskirts of Boston, Verizon’s FiOS network now extends into Boxboro, Belmont and Boxford. The new service will be offered to about 14,600 homes in those towns. 15 towns in Massachusetts currently have the service, with 50 more in negotiations with the service provider to create additional franchises.
Verizon’s FiOSÂ TV was initially launched in Texas, and Woburn was the first Massachusetts community to offer the service to its residents.
