After nearly 10 years on the job, the president and CEO of the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) will leave the post at the end of this year.
A statement from the chamber said its board recently accepted the resignation of Barry Feingold, who is returning to Peru to take a job as a vice president of Bevintel, an international hospitality profit management firm.
Feingold had lived in Peru for 11 years before he came to Milford in 2004. He had served as director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Peru before moving north.
In the statement, Feingold said the chamber has “achieved great success” in striving toward his vision of having the chamber “be the voice of the business community for our area and to bring the people together to do more business.”
He said the chamber has expanded its service area, held membership steady “through difficult economic times and added value to our members’ investment.”
Michael Carroll, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, said Feingold leaves the chamber “a thriving and growing member organization and we thank him sincerely for all he has done to be the voice of the business community.”
The MACC’s member communities include Bellingham, Franklin, Holliston, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Millis and Upton.
