Fashion exec joins Aetna board
Roger N. Farah, the 54-year-old president and chief operating officer of Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. has joined the board of directors at Hartford-based Aetna Inc. The addition of Farah increases to 12 the number of directors at the health care insurer. A long-time retail industry veteran, Farah has also served in executive positions with Federated Department Stores Inc. and Saks Fifth Avenue Inc. Aetna CEO Ronald Williams said Farah’s background will bring “fresh thinking” to the company’s boardroom.
