Fallon preparing to move Worcester elder care center

Fallon Health is looking to move its elder care program to a new medical building on Grove Street in Worcester, pending regulatory approvals.

Fallon’s Summit ElderCare program will leave its recently closed home at 277 East Mountain St. and is due to move into a new 51,000-square-foot building going up at 288 Grove St.

The programs include meals and social activities, rehabilitation and a range of medical services.

The Grove Street facility doesn’t yet have a projected opening date, according to Fallon.

The real estate firm Kelleher & Sadowsky has begun advertising the 12,000-square-foot East Mountain Street facility for lease beginning June 1.

Fallon has a Summit ElderCare facility on Grafton Street in Worcester, as well as in Leominster, Lowell, Springfield and Webster.

The Grove Street site is a former manufacturing facility that was bought last year for almost $1.6 million by 288 Grove LLC, an entity registered to Timothy Rassias of Holden.
