Worcester health insurer Fallon Health has promoted Annamaria Salisbury to lead its Summit ElderCare program as executive director, according to a company statement issued last week.
Salisbury joined Fallon in 2010, overseeing one of Summit ElderCare’s Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) sites. She has since served as senior director of operations and senior site director, as well as interim executive director of the Summit ElderCare program.
Administered by MassHealth and Medicare, PACE programs offer coordinated health care and coverage to adults ages 55 and over as an alternative to nursing home care. Fallon’s PACE operations have grown in recent years, opening its sixth Summit ElderCare branch, in Lowell, in 2016. Fallon is also moving its Charlton Summit branch to a larger location in Webster this year, increasing capacity by 50 percent, according to a statement released in August.
Salisbury is responsible for the program’s strategic planning, policy advocacy, clinical operations and program growth. Prior to joining Fallon, Salisbury was administrative manager for the Department of Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in Pawtucket. Salisbury earned her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Rhode Island College.
