Two Fallon Clinic physicians, cardiologist Brian Downey and pulmonologist Richard Rosiello, are among the “Most Influential Doctors” included in a new USA Today database.
The database, created by information analyst firm Qforma, includes 6,000 doctors who are considered experts in the treatment of high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes and asthma.
Downey was chosen for his work with hypertension, and Rosiello for asthma treatment. The variables used in choosing doctors included books and articles published, research study involvement, academic achievements and medical partnerships.
USA Today launched the database on May 14 and plans to add more physicians and other specialties in the coming months.
