Dudley resident R. David Richer has been named CEO of Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital in Worcester.
Richer was previously the hospital’s director of rehabilitation services. Richer has also been CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Ludlow and has been a therapist and administrator at other Massachusetts hospitals, as well.
Fairlawn is a joint venture between HealthSouth and UMass Memorial Health Care. Fairlawn’s previous CEO Peter Mantegazza left the hospital in May when he was promoted to New England Region president of HealthSouth.
Richer is also a former vice president of the Massachusetts Association for Occupational Therapy.
