Niche Hospitality will open its new location for The Fix Burger Bar in the former Northworks Bar & Grille location next week, the company announced Friday.
The location at 108 Grove St. will more than double the seating for the restaurant while adding space for private functions. The location grows The Fix to over 200 seats, with two private dining rooms that can hold between 36 and 45 people. A 14 foot salad bar rounds out the new dining room additions. Along with the dining expansion, a 24-seat bar has been constructed featuring 24 draught lines.
The new location also expands the kitchen, allowing for a variety of new dishes, including Cheeseburger Tots, Duck Fat Chex Mix, Smoked Chicken Pot Pie and Steak & Frites entrées.
There is still no word on what will become of the current space, although Niche President and CEO Michael Covino has said that it could serve as a test kitchen for the company's its five Central Massachusetts locations.
The final serving at the current location on Shrewsbury Street will take place Tuesday night. The official opening of the new space will take place on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
