Medway-based exercise equipment maker Cybex International Inc. said it lost $356,000 in the second quarter, an improvement over the $2.1 million it lost in the same period a year ago.
The company’s sales were essentially flat for the quarter at $27.7 million and its operating loss was trimmed to $25,000 from $1.9 million.
The company ended the quarter with $3.8 million in cash and equivalents compared to $6.9 million a year ago.
Cybex said sales stabilized and increased outside the United States. The company said its plans include increased investment in marketing and new product development.
