ExaGrid Systems notes Q4 growth

ExaGrid Systems in Westboro recorded strong fourth quarter growth, noting a 36 percent increase in sales from Q3 '06, and a rise of 428 percent compared to the same quarter in 2005.

ExaGrid, which specializes in disk-based backup storage solutions, also noted that full-year sales for 2006 were up 337 percent over the same period in '05, representing a compound quarter-over-quarter average growth rate from Q4 '05 to Q4 '06 of 51 percent.

The company also noted that its customer pool grew in several new industries, including local, state, and Federal government; banking; engineering services; architectural firms; manufacturing; legal; transportation and education.  Also, the ExaGrid system was added to several government contract acquisition vehicles in Q4 '06, including GSA for general Federal acquisitions and the NASA SEWP III contract for DISA/DoD acquisitions.

"ExaGrid's sales to mid-market and small enterprise companies increased dramatically throughout 2006, with a strong finish in Q4.  Disk-based backup remains a robust worldwide market opportunity and we are excited about the year to come," said Bill Andrews, president and CEO of ExaGrid Systems.
