Ex-Navy Officer Takes RemoteReality Reins
Retired Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn became the chairman and CEO of Westborough-based RemoteReality Corp. earlier this year, the company announced today.
McGinn served in the U.S. Navy for 35 years. Most recently, he worked for Ohio-based nonprofit research and development organization Battelle, serving as vice president of strategic planning and national security business development.
RemoteReality also announced today that the Navy plans to test one of its camera systems. With the system, submarine periscopes can instantly capture a 360-degree view, instead of spending several minutes scanning a location.
The company developed the system under a a contract from the Office of Naval Research awarded last year.
