Ex-Manufacturing Exec Takes MassDev Role
A Central Massachusetts manufacturing executive has been named to a high-level post at the state's finance and development agency, MassDevelopment.
Louis Gaviglia, who has 45 years of experience in the Bay State's manufacturing industry, will assume his new role as vice president of manufacturing program initiatives at MassDevelopment. The Northborough resident has held executive-level roles at Nypro Inc. in Clinton, Century Electronics in Marlborough, Madison Cable Corp. in Worcester and Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard.
As part of his new role, Gaviglia will travel across the commonwealth to promote the manufacturing industry, helping the agency fulfill one of its missions.
The job Gaviglia is taking is a newly created position at MassDevelopment.
