Marlborough solar manufacturer Evergreen Solar Inc. has filed a Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission, announcing its intention to publicly offer 20 million primary shares of its common stock.
Evergreen said it could take in up to $266 million from the offering, if all options and conditions are exercised by the company’s underwriters.
Net proceeds from the offering will be used to complete Phase I of its development of a new manufacturing facility in Devens, to begin Phase II of the project in Devens and for “general corporate purposes,” the company said.
