Evergreen Solar Completes Its Largest Project

Evergreen Solar, the Marlborough-based solar panel manufacturer, has installed the largest solar power plant in company history, a 5-megawatt system in Italy that has 100,000 square meters of panels.
The power plant, located in Apulia, Italy, uses 24,600 Evergreen Solar panels. It is expected to provide enough power for 2,400 homes.
The project was funded by Enia Solaris, which is a made up of two Italian companies, Enia SpA and Ata Group.
