Evergreen Panels Test Well

Evergreen Solar Inc. of Marlborough said its ES Series String Ribbon solar panels were the top rated panels in a review by a German testing institute.
The yearlong test was conducted TUV Rheinland Group in Germany. The testing institute found that Evergeen's ES Series solar panels delivered more power between April and September 2008 than 13 other brands of solar panels.
Evergreen's panels also received high rankings in tests performed by Photon magazine.
The company's "string ribbon" technology allows Evergreen to manufacture solar panels using less polysilicon than conventional panel manufacturing. Evergreen manufactures its panels at a new facility in Devens.
