Marlborough-based Evergreen Solar Inc. has opened a European headquarters in Berlin.
The solar panel manufacturer has had operations in Europe since 2002 and became fully registered as a German company in 2004. The German government provides generous incentives for residential solar power installations.
In addition to the German headquarters, Evergreen has sales offices in Asia and California. The company manufactures solar panels here in Devens, and Midland, Mich. and has a manufacturing facility under construction in Wuhan, China.
