Marlborough-based Evergreen Solar Inc. has signed two new sales contracts worth about $600 million through 2012.
The contracts are with groSolar of White River Junction, Vt. and Wagner & Co. Solartechnik of Germany. The contracts, along with two other recent contracts announced in May, bring Evergreen’s contract backlog to $1.7 billion, the company said. groSolar does residential and commercial solar panel installations across the U.S. and Wagner manufactures solar powered hot water systems used throughout Europe.
The solar panels for the two contracts will be manufactured at Evergreen’s Devens facility, which began production about a year ago.
