EPA Gives Mass. $1.3M For Water Quality, Jobs

The Environmental Protection Agency is giving the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection $1,343,900 in stimulus funds for water quality management efforts that also create jobs.

The agency is awarding a total of $39 million to the states.

The Water Quality Management Planning grants, which come from the 2009 stimulus package, help states with projects like planning adaptations to climate change, analyzing trends in water availability and use and creating low-impact development programs.
