Tighe & Bond, Inc., an engineering and architectural firm based in Westfield with a Worcester office, has acquired WorldTech Engineering LLC of Woburn.
“We believe this expanded transportation practice gives us additional opportunity to support our client base given current and forecasted needs for transportation infrastructure improvements,” Tighe & Bond President and CEO Robert Belitz said in a Tuesday press release. “WorldTech’s business model complements our existing capabilities and aligns with our client-focused approach. We welcome this talented team to our firm.”
Founded in 2009, WorldTech specializes in transportation and civil engineering. The acquisition will bolster Tighe & Bond’s services in the transportation sector, according to the press release.
Tighe & Bond will keep WorldTech’s office in Woburn, bringing the total number of offices to 13 across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Maine.
The firm established a Worcester office in 2019 and moved into its current office at 120 Front St. in 2019.
