Hopkinton-based data storage giant EMC Corp. announced that its security division (RSA) is partnering with an Illinois organization to provide security management.
According to EMC, RSA will help health care information technology organization TriRivers Health Partners of Rockford, Ill., secure its infrastructure and more closely control how it manages risk and responds to cyber threats.
The RSA data loss prevention suite is designed to help identify and lower the risks associated with safeguarding confidential information, while its enVision product provides log monitoring and alerts, improving the speed and efficiency of incident management.
"It is our responsibility as a healthcare IT provider to ensure that patients can trust us to safeguard their information," said Phil Wasson, TriRivers Health Partners president and CEO. "We decided to take a proactive approach to fulfilling our security obligations, and RSA had the tools we needed."
RSA Managed and Monitored Services will tailor its solutions on TriRivers' business requirements and security risks, and will provide ongoing management and monitoring. According to EMC, TriRivers will save more than $100,000 a year by eliminating the need for additional internal IT staff hours.
