EMC VP named HR Executive of the Year

Jack Mollen, executive vice president of human resources at Hopkinton-based EMC Corp., was named the 2006 HR Executive of the Year by Human Resource Executive, an HR business magazine.
Mollen joined EMC in 1999, and earned the recognition based on several criteria. These included efforts made to manage through the cutbacks in technology spending that the industry encountered a few years later. EMC's President and CEO Joe Tucci noted that Mollen's accomplishments include attracting new talent and helping the company grow through acquisitions.
Mollen was judged by a panel including Joan Crockett, senior vice president of HR at Allstate Insurance Co. and Dennis Donovan, executive vice president of HR at Home Depot.
