Hopkinton-based EMC Corp.’s Documentum Records Manager has received U.S. Department of Defense certification.
The certification means the product complies with DoD standards for records management, including system interface tools, security and search criteria.
The system provides archiving and search functions for electronic and physical content, including e-mail.
According to a study by technology researcher IDC, the amount of information companies must store to be accessible to regulating authorities is expected to grow from 23 percent in 2008 to 35 percent in 2012.
