EMC Corp., a Hopkinton-based firm specializing in data storage solutions, announced that it has achieved record revenues for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year in 2006.
Total consolidated revenue for Q4 of '06 was a record $3.215 billion, a 19 percent increase over the $2.710 billion recorded in Q4 of 2005. It was also $55 million higher than EMC's fourth-quarter revenue forecast. Total consolidated revenue for EMC's full 2006 fiscal year was a record $11.155 billion, 15 percent higher than the $9.664 billion noted for the full 2005 fiscal year.
EMC saw double-digit revenue growth across its systems, software, and services offerings, and across all four of its major geographies. EMC Systems' revenue grew by 12 percent; software license and maintenance revenue increased 27 percent; and professional services, systems maintenance and other services revenue increased 20 percent compared with the fourth quarter in 2005. Quarterly revenue from North America was up 18 percent.
In 2007, the company expects to record consolidated revenue of at least $12.7 billion, representing growth of 14 percent over 2006.
