EMC, the Hopkinton-based data storage giant, reported a $1.9-billion profit on $17 billion in revenues for 2010 in what CEO Joseph Tucci called “the best (year) in company history.”
Revenues rose 21 percent to $17 billion in 2010 while profits increased 75 percent to $1.9 billion.
In the fourth quarter, the company recorded a 19-percent increase in revenues to $4.9 billion. Profits in the fourth quarter rose 61 percent to $628 million.
The company also expects continued growth. It predicts a $2.4-billion profit on $19.6 billion in revenue in 2011.
