EMC leading flash-storage market

EMC has accelerated its hold on the all-flash storage market, according to a report by IDC.
The company, which is in the process of merging with Dell, held 40.3 percent of the all-flash computer storage market in the fourth quarter of 2015. This is up 4.1 percentage points over the previous year. For the entire calendar year 2015, EMC's 37.7 percent market share for all flash array vendor revenue is more than two-and-a-half times the next competitor's market share.
According to IDC, the total all-flash market generated $955.4 million in revenue during the quarter, up 71.9 percent year over year.
