EMC Corp. of Hopkinton has hired a 20-year veteran of General Electric, Vic Bhagat as executive vice president of corporate services and chief information officer.
Bhagat will assume responsibility for the IT products and services giant’s information technology, global centers of excellence, global business services and indirect procurement organizations, the company announced.
A 30-year industry veteran, he most recently helped establish a global big-data analytics practice for Accenture. He had also held the role of CIO for several GE business units, including GE Aviation Services, GE Global Growth and operations, CNBC, GE Corporate and GE India and Southeast Asia.
