EMC Corp. of Hopkinton is joining a global effort to keep virtual “cloud computing” enviroments secure.
The Daoli Trusted Infrastructure Project is the first public research collaboration connected to the EMC Innovation Network, a global research program that the data storage giant launched last year. The project also includes four Chinese universities.
Researchers will share information in an effort to develop best practices and strategies to keep information secure in virtual environments that are outside companies’ local control.
