After partnering with Watch4Net Solutions Inc. for more than seven years, Hopkinton-based EMC Corp. acquired the Montreal-based performance management software firm in an all-cash transaction. The details of the deal were not disclosed.
According to EMC, it has worked with the privately held Watch4Net to deliver solutions to meet customers' IT management needs through real-time, historical and projected visibility into network, data center and cloud infrastructure performance.
The transaction is not expected to have a significant impact on EMC for the full 2012 fiscal year.
Michel Foix, Watch4net CEO, will report to Jay Mastaj, senior vice president and general manager of EMC Infrastructure Management Group.
"By bringing Watch4net into the EMC portfolio and roadmap, EMC rounds out its world-class IT management solution to address customers' most critical IT management needs across their physical and virtual IT environments," Mastaj said.
