Behavioral health care provider Elevate Counseling Services, which maintains offices in Bellingham, Eason and Middleborough, has named its founder and director, Leigh-Ann Larson as the company’s CEO.
Larson has served as founder and director since the practice launched in 2015, according to a Sunday press release from the company.
The relatively young company required a CEO to oversee operations after a year of growth, hiring new therapists, establishing a telehealth division and implementing a professional development center, according to the press release.
“With the expansion we have undertaken in the last year, the practice has grown to the point where it needs a full-time chief executive officer to guide our growth, which has necessitated my changing my focus and role,” Larson said in a statement.
Larson earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Bridgewater State University. She was a licensed mental health counselor in private practice for five years before launching Elevate, and for five years before that, worked in community mental health.
Moving forward, Laron said she wants to leverage technology, including developing a proprietary app for patient self-assessment, as well as overhauling the company’s website.
