Farmington-based Edac Technologies Corp. doubled its profits in the second quarter to $820,000 on sales of $12.5 million – its highest quarterly sales total in eight years. In the comparable quarter last year, the manufacturing company posted earnings of $414,000 on sales of $9.6 million. Diluted earnings per share grew to 18 cents, up from 9 cents a year ago.
