Ed Moore: Trail Blazer

Harrington continues to climb a healthy trajectory under Moore’s direction. The dominant provider in South Worcester County has now set its sights on an expansion into Northeastern Connecticut, a region Moore said is in need of better access to specialty care.

Harrington will open a new inpatient behavioral health unit in Webster to serve people struggling with addiction and mental health. The system has grown its urgent care business, opening a second location in Oxford in November.

Moore’s stated goal for Harrington is to make the organization as strong as possible, so that if it needs to join forces with a larger provider one day, it is viewed as a vital asset.
