Admission prices at The EcoTarium, as well as train rides and planetarium shows, will be half-price in September, the Worcester science and nature center announced.
It’s the second year of the promotion, which the EcoTarium said is an effort to make the center more accessible.
The EcoTarium includes a three-story science museum, outdoor nature trails and wildlife exhibits. Admission, regularly $14 for adults, $8 for children and $10 for seniors, includes the outdoor exhibit, “Bubbles,” which runs through September. “Bubbles” is part of Play on the Plaza, a new interactive area on the museum's Sundial Plaza that teaches kids about the science of suds by making bubbles in all shapes and sizes.
The EcoTarium also announced a new travelling exhibit, “Science + You,” which will open Sept. 21. The hands-on exhibit is set up as a child-sized laboratory and teaches kids about scientists’ roles in health and wellness. “Science + You” was developed with scientists from AbbVie and will be at the EcoTarium through April 27, 2014.
The EcoTarium is at 222 Harrington Way and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday from and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
