The 495/MetroWest Partnership will hold its 2009 Economic Forum on the state of the regional and national economies at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel on Route 9.
"Given the level of anxieties about the economy, we felt there was a real need to provide people with some real resources," said Paul Matthews, the partnership's executive director. This is the second economic forum the partnership has held.
There will be a panel discussion moderated by Mark Crandall, TD Bank's regional vice president for Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Timothy Flanagan, president of Framingham State College, will present economic data from the school's MetroWest Economic Research Center, and Jeffrey Fuhrer, executive vice president and director of research for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, will present a picture of the national economy.
Paul Leone, senior vice president at Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC, will talk about the state of the regional commercial real estate industry.
The event will include breakfast, an electronic copy of a report entitled, "2009 Economic Indicators for the 495/MetroWest Region."
There will be an executive summary that includes key regional economic factors, and a commercial real estate report.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the event is scheduled to start at 8.
The cost is $40 per person. For more information click here. The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 25.
