The San Francisco Department of Public Health will use electronic medical records software developed by Westborough-based eClinicalWorks.
The department currently includes 800 physicians. The selection of eClinicalWorks software is the result of a State of California Request For Proposals (RFP) process that considered a number of electronic medical records systems.
Electronic records will be implemented for the department over the next two years.
The company’s software has been implemented by large practice groups in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York City, as well as in small- and mid-sized practices.
