Medical software company eClinicalWorks is putting up for lease all 193,000 square feet of a Westborough office building it once eyed for an expansion.
The company's facility at 900 W. Park Drive, across Route 9 from its headquarters, has been listed for lease with the Boston real estate firm JLL. Lease terms are negotiable, according to the listing.
EClinicalWorks is based at 2 Technology Drive in a building that's roughly 100,000 square feet.
EClinicalWorks, which is privately owned, owns both office building sites through subsidiaries. It has owned the Technology Drive site since 2010 and the West Park Drive property since 2015.
At the time of the West Park Drive purchase, the company reported it planned roughly 1,000 new employees in the next three years. The building was originally built by EMC in 2000 but, according to eClinicalWorks at the time, was never occupied.
Two years ago, the company paid a $155 million to settle allegations it misrepresented its software's capabilities and paid kickbacks to influential customers in exchange for promotion.
EClinicalWorks said it is looking to expand elsewhere despite its decision not to occupy the West Park Drive building.
