eClinicalWorks Buys 2 Technology Dr. For $4.6M
2 Technology Dr. in Westborough was purchased by eClinicalWorks.
Electronic medical records software developer eClinicalWorks has purchased 2 Technology Dr. in Westborough for $4.6 million.
The rapidly expanding company bought the vacant, 100,000-square-foot building from Boston-based real estate investment firm New Boston Fund Inc.
eClinicalWorks will renovate 2 Technology Dr. by the first quarter of 2011 and move employees from its current location at 112 Turnpike Rd. in Westborough soon thereafter, Heather Caouette, a company spokesman, said.
Currently, eClinicalWorks leases space in two adjacent buildings.
"It'll be nice to have everybody in a single building," Caoette said.
The company has about 1,100 employees and plans to hire as many as 200 more in the next 12 months. In addition to its Westborough headquarters, the company has offices in New York City, Alpharetta, Ga. and Pleasanton, Calif.
