eClinicalWorks adds 3,000 providers in 2nd quarter

eClinicalWorks added more than 3,000 providers -- including ambulatory surgical centers, accountable care organizations, and federally qualified health centers -- as clients in its second quarter.
The Westborough electronic medical records maker reported $120 million in revenue for its second quarter on Friday, a quarter including June, which was the company’s strongest sales month so far of 2017.
In the first six months of the year, 70 percent of new customers switched from different electronic health records providers. The company expects to add more than 10,000 providers in the final two quarters of the year.
Last week, the company announced that Medical Associates of Clinton, a group of 49 providers, selected its software.
