Eastern Insurance Group LLC of Natick, a subsidiary of Boston-based Eastern Bank, announced on Tuesday it has acquired the assets of Dorchester-based Campbell, Flaherty & Ring Insurance Agency, Inc.
Campbell, Flaherty & Ring has been serving residents in Greater Boston for more than 60 years, according to a release from Eastern Insurance. In the release, David Campbell, the owner of the acquired agency, announced his retirement from the industry.
“Eastern Insurance is as passionate about excellence in customer service and commitment to the community as I am, and I am confident customers will benefit from the additional insurance choices and services being made available to them,” he said in the release.
Financial terms were not disclosed, nor did Eastern mention if it would retain all of the agency’s employees.
This marks the 32nd acquisition of an independent insurance agency for Eastern Insurance since 2002, including the October acquisition of the Auburn Insurance Agency, Inc.
