Eastern Insurance acquires Concord agency

Eastern Insurance Agency in Natick
Eastern Insurance Group LLC of Natick, a subsidiary of Boston-based Eastern Bank, announced last week it has acquired the assets of Concord-based NorthBridge Insurance Agency, Inc.
NorthBridge Insurance has assisted individuals and businesses with personal and business insurance coverages since 1997, according to a release from Eastern.
“Eastern Insurance stands for all that we believe in–providing the best products and services to our clients, a great place to work and giving back to the community – and we are thrilled to be joining with them and offering more opportunity to our customers and employees,” Carol Wilson, president of NorthBridge Insurance said in the release.
Financial terms were not disclosed, nor did Eastern mention if it would retain all of the agency's employees.
The transaction was effective as of April 1 and marks the 33rd acquisition of an independent insurance agency for Eastern Insurance since 2002.
