Eastern Acoustic Works, a Whitinsville manufacturing company specializing in loudspeakers and other professional audio equipment, will move its headquarters to a 56,725-square-foot facility at 19 National Drive in Franklin.
The 45-year-old company is making the move in order to expand its operations, according to a press release issued on Thursday by Kelleher Sadowsky, the Worcester-based commercial real estate broker who represented Eastern in the deal.
“This expansion and relocation to Franklin is a great step for EAW in our plans for growth, as well as our continuous drive for innovation and technological advancement of how we can deliver the best quality sound systems and solutions to our customers,” TJ Smith, president of EAW, said in the press release.
Founded in 1978, EAW produced professional audio equipment for a variety of high profile clients over the years, including multiple venues used during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the U.S. Senate chambers, according to the company’s website.
EAW’s current facility is located at 1 Main St. in Whitinsville, an unincorporated village within the town of Northbridge. The company expects the move to Franklin to be completed during the first quarter of 2024.
Jim Cozza and Will Kelleher of Kelleher Sadowsky represented the tenant in this lease transaction, while John Eysenbach of R.W. Holmes Realty represented the landlord. Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
