Hardwick private boarding school Eagle Hill School has become the first school in the United States to undergo a mass installation of Vystar Corporation’s new air purification systems, Vystar announced on Tuesday.Â
The RxAir-400 UV-C Light Air Purifier Systems are Class II medical devices used for destroying airborne bacteria and viruses, including coronaviruses and other diseases certified by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, according to Vystar.
In total, 95 units were installed, including in every classroom, residence hall, fitness center and other common areas.
Moving forward, Eagle Hill School will serve as a showcase for the product, according to Vystar.
The company is currently offering discounted pricing to schools and universities interested in installing the purifiers, said Steven Rotman, president and CEO of Vystar Group and former Eagle Hill board member.Â
