New orders for durable goods manufactured in the United States decreased by 1 percent, or $1.8 billion, to $186.9 billion in November, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
The decline is the fourth consecutive monthly decrease for durable goods orders. Durable goods orders fell by 8.4 percent in October.
The bureau said the transportation equipment sector dragged the month’s results down. Excluding the transportation sector’s $3.5 billion decrease, durable goods orders increased by 1.2 percent.
