Dunkin' Joins Sustainability Network
Dunkin' Brands of Canton, the parent company of Dunkin's Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, has joined the Ceres network of companies, which work on sustainability issues.
Ceres is a coalition of investors, environmental groups and public interest organizations that helps companies address sustainability issues, including climate change. Dunkin' said Ceres will help it build its corporate social responsibility and sustainability programs. Since 2006, the company said, it has instituted initiatives including offering healthier products, sourcing espresso beverages from fair trade-certified coffee beans and opening its first LEED certified store.
