Dunkin' Donuts offers sweet deal for Conn.'s commuters

Essex-based NuRide Inc., the nation's largest incentive-based online ridesharing community, has partnered with Dunkin' Donuts to reward Connecticut commuters with discounts on popular Dunkin' coffee and donuts that can be shared with friends, colleagues and commuting partners.

Dunkin' Donuts joins a growing list of companies who sponsor commuters as part of the Tri-State 5,000,000 Mile Rideshare Challenge. To participate, commuters use NuRide's online ridesharing service to find other people going their way. The NuRide Web site calculates the savings for each ridesharing trip and awards participants with points, which can be redeemed for rewards provided by corporate sponsors.

"Dunkin' Donuts is proud to partner together with NuRide to support commuters who are making the environmentally friendly choice to share rides," Jessica Schlueter, Dunkin' brands director of corporate social responsibility, said in a statement.
