A Boston solar company has completed a 2.4-megawatt solar farm in Dudley to provide energy to Worcester-area businesses.

In a press release Thursday, solar company Nexamp announced it has completed a 7,524-panel solar array at Evergreen Farm in Dudley, a fifth-generation, 265-year-old family farm.

UMass Memorial Health Care, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock will purchase energy credits generated by the project at a discounted rate.

More than 100 residents, small businesses and other organizations will benefit from the project and Nexamp’s community solar program. Customers can subscribe to the project for energy savings. Together with UMass, WPI and Jiminy Peak, subscribers are estimated to save $1.5 million in electricity costs over the lifetime of the project, according to Nexamp.
